Safety

The Importance of Employee & Client Safety
Safety is a core consideration in planning and managing every project. We train and retrain our employees, drawing on our decades of construction experience to use real world examples of best practices. Our long-term experience shows that safe, environmentally sound construction practices yield both high quality work and predictable schedules. Safety is extremely important to Richard L. Crowder Construction. It is our policy to comply with all local, state, and federal safety regulations in the performance of our work. Additionally, it is our mission to constantly strive, not just for compliance, but for the elimination of all workplace incidents, including but not limited to:
- injuries and illnesses to employees or the public
- damage to property or the environment
- disruptions caused by utility damages
- injuries or damages caused by vehicle accidents
We have drug testing, CPR/First Aid Classes and weekly safety meetings in an ongoing effort to keep our people safe. We believe Our Zero Incident Philosophy (ZIP) is a mindset or way of doing business – not just a goal. We expect all employees to believe that incidents (and their resulting injuries or damages) are NOT an acceptable part of doing business – all accidents are preventable.
